I saw this video at Anne Bradshaw's Place today and was immediately touched by it. Due to a major life-altering situations in my son's and his family's lives, he, his wife, and their three small children have come to live with my husband and me and have been living with us for a while now. (This has a lot to do as to why I haven't been active with my writing and blogging.)
I sure needed this message to educate me on how to communicate well with children again, especially with the little ones. We don't have to be Mormons to benefit from this awesome message. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have.
A very poignant, and truthful message. All too often we let our focus hold on what is affecting us most at the moment. It's nice to have the kids to break that focus, and let them exist in our lives. It is so much more important to the children, than we'll ever remember. I would imagine it's far healthier to us also, for focusing on those troubling times can be very stressful. Let the shield down, and welcome the kids into the heart, talk and listen, teach and learn, most of all show them you love them. A very important message indeed.
ReplyDeleteI sure got choked up watching this video. I hope that I'll be able to impart lasting life lessons to them and share wonderful memories with them.

ReplyDeleteHi Connie, thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteThe grandkids are a handful. They sure keep my husband and me busy. But, they're all worth our time and energy.
Have a great day,

Hi Tasha!
ReplyDeletethank you for all your lovely comments on my blog. They are always appreciated.
I'm glad you shared that educational video. I hope parents all over will be inspired by it.
I also hope you are well and taking good care of yourself (apart from taking care of your grandkids) too.
Hi Duni, you're very welcome. I appreciate your visits and comments here as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying my best to take care of myself. However, it's hard to get enough rest with 3 little ones. How I'd love to get a full-night of sleep right now. Tehehe.
